iOS 18.2: How to Make Custom Emoji Using Genmoji and Apple Intelligence

On December 11, almost a month following the tech giant’s release of iOS 18.1, Apple published iOS 18.2. Numerous new features and bug fixes are included in the most recent version for your iPhone. Additionally, it adds more Apple Intelligence features, such as Genmoji, a custom emoji creator, to users of the iPhone 15 Pro, Pro Max, or an iPhone 16 device.

Each year, the authorized emoji are introduced to all devices. New emoji are created in accordance with the Unicode Standard, a global character encoding standard. You may use Genmoji instead of waiting for new emoji to show up on your iPhone. As you need them, you can make them.

To make your own unique emoji, follow these steps using Genmoji on your iPhone. It should be noted that you must obtain Apple Intelligence for your iPhone before using it. Tap Get Apple Intelligence after selecting Settings > Apple Intelligence & Siri.

1. Start a conversation by opening Messages.
2. Press the emoji icon located in the lower left corner of your keyboard.
3. In the search field, insert the desired emoji, such as “raven on a book.”
Then choose “Create New Emoji.”

You may choose from a variety of new emoji that your iPhone will create based on your description. After selecting your preferred emoji, you may use it as a sticker, tapback, or emoji by tapping Add in the upper right corner of your screen. You no longer need to wait for the Unicode Standard to suggest, develop, and introduce new emoji to gadgets.
